Toy Story Theme
A Toy Story themed birthday party for a son or daughter would definitely be fun for the whole family. These movies are entertaining to kids, but also have relatable humor and a heart-warming story that parents can enjoy – why they’re such a success. You see it all the time, kids mimicking reality with toy soldiers taking control of a battleground, or helping barbie redecorate her dream home. With their imaginations running this wild, it’s possible your daughter has an inkling her veterinarian barbie can actually work on the family dog if he ever gets sick. Or if she has a doll with a striking resemblenace to Chucky, she may swear the doll roams around the room at night. So to reinforce positive mental health, and to spare your child a few nightmares, planning a party around a movie like Toy Story would cause him/her to associate toys with the friendly, light-hearted characters they see in the movie. To do that though, you’d need some supplies. Here are a few that can get you started.
Get Everything You Need:
This Toy Story Deluxe Party Kit has everything you need for the perfect Toy Story themed event. You pretty much get sixteen of everything you’d normal see at a birthday party. Napkins, plates, plastic silverware, paper cups – all you need is a location and your set. You also get those popular blowouts that kids love all decked out with the Toy Story theme. Also included is a banner and two blue/green tablecovers with all the characters displayed. And who can forget balloons? You get 20 of those along with streamers, centerpieces and invitations. And if you’re concerned about price, don’t be as it’s really affordable. Additionally, if you’re lucky enough to need party supplies during Amazon’s Toys and Games event, you get an extra 30% off. You get up to 24 candles with the Deluxe Party kit, I guess they figured 24 was the age Toy Story themed parties ceased to be cool.
You could host this event outside if the weather permits, or,ideally, you could host it inside in front of the big screen so they can watch the movie. A Toy Story marathon might be a little too much, but playing it in the background might give them something to do if the party starts to drag. Plus, by now they’ve probably already seen the movie dozens of times, so they might get restless having to watch it again.
Of course kids would love to have something to take home after a good party. Even though birthday celebrations typically focus on an individual child, it makes it a more inclusive party with every kid receiving a gift of some kind. This favor pack includes treat sacks, plastic springs, activity sheets, kaleidoscopes, jumbo stickers and backpack clips – 8 of each. You might want to include other goodies to throw in to make it a nice well-rounded favor pack, but overall this should keep the kids happy. Other favor packs are pre-filled and have tons of treats for kids who enjoy candy. You get M&MS, Tootsie Rolls, Dum Dum Pops and a Swedish Fish in the one from goodieGumDrops. A good favor if cake and ice cream wasn’t enough. You might also want to include a business card from a dentist since root canals will be necessary.
Speaking of birthday food, cake decorating can be hard if you’re not a pro, so it’d be good to find some tools to help you out. There are cake toppers that you could use to Toy Storyize a child’s birthday cake. Whichever character the birthday kid loves – Woody or Buzz – would be the deciding factor on what kind of topper to get. And if you have absolutely no cooking talent, using a cake pan might help you with achieving the perfect Buzz Lightyear bust. You’ll be so proud that every cake you bake might have a Buzz Lightyear bust.
Some of the petite cake toppers include Woody sitting on a hill playing his guitar, and on the other one Buzz is rocketing off the moon into deep space. You might want an extra cake for larger parties since these are pretty small, but are definitely pleasing to the eye. There are also fun candles that you can use with Buzz Lightyear standing next to his spaceship.
There are tons more items out there that can help you with your Toy Story themed party since it’s a popular franchise. Party hats, cupcake stands, candles, balloons and other items will have your kid carrying full-length conversations with Woody action figures in hopes he might respond. Don’t worry though, he wont. That is unless he has a pull-string, then it’s ok.
